Engelhard "American Prospector" rounds- value?
I have some of these dated 1985 or 1986 - are they considered "collectible"?

One of the reasons that they're not collectible is that they were essentially the same every year, except for the alternate reverse side during their early years, and the fact that their "run" lasted less than ten years, so there's not a lot of "date-related" collectible interest. Their small premium is due to their recognizability, their reliability as an Engelhard product, and the fact that they have an attractive design. One of my local dealers does not charge a premium so I tend to grab them first, but they seem to carry a premium online. |

Engelhard Prospector silver rounds are not considered "collectible" rounds.

They like the JMs are the top type mints for rounds & bars, however. :5_1_120::yes:
They are easily recognized by the trade. :Surrender: |
